MODERN HOUSE PROVENCE
AIX EN PROVENCE
This project transforms and extends a 180 sqm family home through a carefully curated material approach, where every surface contributes to a refined and harmonious atmosphere. At the entrance and across the ground floor, travertino ceramics are paired with bespoke oak joinery, introducing a tactile dialogue between mineral and wood that continues seamlessly into the living areas.
In the kitchen, warm timber cabinetry is balanced by metallic finishes and a monolithic quartz worktop, while handcrafted ceramic surfaces add depth and subtle texture. Carefully selected natural materials and bespoke detailing create a restrained yet richly layered environment, where every junction and finish has been thoughtfully considered.
The staircase extends this material continuity through the combination of solid oak, stone-inspired surfaces and textured plaster, using light to reveal the richness of each finish. Upstairs, soft wool carpets bring warmth to the bedrooms, where custom oak cabinetry introduces refined textures and muted tones. In the bathrooms, textured ceramic walls, enamelled steel elements and bespoke vanity units create a sophisticated composition of mineral surfaces, balanced by subtle accents of brushed metal. The result is an interior where materiality defines the experience, combining timeless elegance with exceptional craftsmanship.
