HOTEL

PARIS 18

The project involved HOCH and CHHO in the restructuring of a former hotel at the foot of Sacré-Cœur, into a tourist residence of twelves apartments for Edgar Suites.

The goal here was to create a unique identity for this residence while incorporating the visual and usage codes that contribute to the success of Edgar Suites. In continuation of the pop and colorful style of the brand developed in other residences, CHHO proposed to opt for a diverse layout and decoration, with Memphis influences, blending materials, patterns, and colors.

To differentiate this residence from others, CHHO envisioned implementing specific signature elements for the Paul Albert residence, two pieces of furniture whose dimensions and uses must adapt to the constrained spaces of the building: the headboard and the bench. We drew inspiration from Italian architects and designers of Archizoom and the Memphis movement. The use of the square module repeated and stacked like a pyramid was the basis for designing these elements that become both remarkable and practical, with a style that is both retro and contemporary.
